Development Manager – Apply Here

Job Description (click this link for full job description): Tree Trust’s mission is to improve the community environment by investing in people, meaning we aim to transform both lives and landscapes – and we do this by providing leadership in greening our community, planting thousands of trees annually, and inspiring youth and adults to actively support our planet’s health and well-being. A primary way that Tree Trust transforms lives is through its JobPrep programming, where hundreds of young people every year are mentored and prepared to have the careers they need to support themselves and their families into the future.

Tree Trust’s Development Manager, a new position in the organization, is charged with managing the ongoing operations of a Development Department raising a total of $3M annually from institutional funders (government, foundation, corporate) and individual donors. A key part of the position will be managing institutional fundraising and relationships — with much of the writing eventually falling to a PT staffer or contractor that this position will hire and supervise. The position will also manage grant tracking and reporting; the donor database; the operations necessary for individual donor acquisition, cultivation, solicitation, and stewardship; and the general day-to-day operations of the Development Department. The Development Manager will have the opportunity to collaborate with the Executive Director on setting strategies and building relationships with key donors and funders. Finally, the person in this position will have the potential to grow, along with the Development Department, into higher levels of leadership.
