Tree Sales Offer the Opportunity to Select a Tree

Tree Trust is on a mission to transform lives and landscapes. Every spring we partner with municipalities to host tree sales, offering a diverse variety of trees at a significant discount, encouraging area residents to plant more trees where they are needed most—on private property in the city. Trees catalyze transformation—benefiting the health of communities and the environment. One of the easiest things that can be done to add beauty to your landscape and help create a greener future is to plant a tree. Trees can lower energy bills, raise the value of property, and improve your mood.

Tree Selection Process

Now is the time to start planning for a greener future. Every tree is unique in what environment it prefers. Selecting a tree that will thrive at your home and meet your needs involves research. Selecting a tree that is right for you is a personal decision, since each tree species will provide a different aesthetic. We offer a diverse catalogue of trees to select from because planting different species of trees will help grow a tree canopy resilient to disease. Start here with a preview of some of the high-quality trees available through upcoming tree sales. Here are some facts to help you select the right tree for your property, making your transition to tree owner an easy one.

Growing Shade: Creating Canopy

Select a deciduous shade tree and receive the benefits of reduced energy bills. Shade trees need room to grow and offer a myriad of benefits when planted on the east or west side of your property. For homeowners with plenty of space, shade trees can shave dollars off energy bills and provide a natural respite from the summer heat. Here are a few shade trees to consider:

Swamp White Oak

  • Provides habitat for local wildlife.
  • Resilient to adverse climate, needs full sun.

Ironwood

  • Produces hop-like flowers later in summer.

Growing Beauty: Ornamental Trees & Fruit Trees

Trees enhance green space encouraging neighbors to enjoy the outdoors and the company of one another. If you love fragrant flowers, consider planting these ornamental varieties in your outdoor green space:

Gladiator Crabapple
