But choosing the right tree is important, and it all starts with matching your tree to its ideal environment.

Soil Condition

Do you want a tree that provides a shady retreat, colorful fall foliage, or maybe even fresh fruit? Different trees come with different perks, and some require more maintenance than others. It’s important to think about your tree’s needs in terms of sun exposure and soil type. If your soil is sandy and rocky, or dense and compact, it will influence how well your tree grows.   • Brooklyn Park
    The Brooklyn Park Tree Sale will be open for ordering from March 4th at 8:00am to April 18th at 4:00pm. Trees are $40 each. You may purchase up to THREE (3) trees per Brooklyn Park address. More details are available, HERE.
  • Eden Prairie
    The Eden Prairie Tree Sale will be open for ordering from February 24th at 8:00am to April 11th at 4:00pm. Trees are $45 each. You may purchase up to TWO (2) trees per Eden Prairie address. More details are available, HERE.
  • Edina
    The Edina Tree Sale will be open for ordering from March 19th at 8:00am to April 25th at 4:00pm. Trees are $50 each. You may purchase up to TWO (2) trees per Edina address. More details are available, HERE.
  • Golden Valley
    The Golden Valley Tree Sale will be open for ordering from April 21st at 8:00 am to May 2nd at 4:00 pm. Please register for the tree lottery for the chance to purchase a tree, HERE. Trees are $80 each for general residents and $40 each for residents living in Environmental Justice zones. You may purchase ONE (1) tree per Golden Valley address. More details are available, HERE.
  • Hopkins
    The Hopkins Tree Sale will be open for ordering from February 1st at 8:00am to April 18th at 4:00pm. Trees are $40 each. You may purchase (TWO) 2 trees per Hopkins address. More details are available, HERE.
  • Maplewood
    The Maplewood Tree Sale will be open for ordering from March 3rd at 8:00am to May 2nd at 4:00pm. Trees are $40 each. You may purchase up to TWO (2) trees per Maplewood address. More details are available, HERE.
  • Mendota Heights
    The Mendota Heights Tree Sale will be open for ordering from March 3rd at 8:00am to May 2nd at 4:00pm. Trees are $90 each. You may purchase up to TWO (2) trees per Mendota Heights address. More details are available, HERE.
  • Minneapolis
    The Minneapolis Tree Sale lottery opened on February 10th at 8:00am. Lottery selectees will be notified and able to order starting March 17th at 8:00am. The Tree Sale will then be opened to all other Minneapolis residents on April 1st at 8:00am. Sign up for the lottery, HERE. Trees are $30 each.   • Minnetonka
    The Minnetonka Tree Sale will be open on May 12th at 8:00am. Trees are $50 each. You may purchase up to TWO (2) trees per Minnetonka address. More details are available, HERE.
  • Robbinsdale
    The Robbinsdale Tree Sale will be open for ordering from March 5th at 8:00am to April 18th at 4:00pm. Trees are $45 each. You may purchase up to TWO (2) trees per Robbinsdale address. More details are available, HERE.

    The Roseville Tree Sale will be open for ordering from March 7th at 8:00am to May 23rd at 4:00pm. Trees are $40 each. You may purchase up to TWO (2) trees per Roseville address. More details are available, HERE.
  • St. Louis Park
    The St. Louis Park Tree Sale opened for ordering on March 3rd. Trees are $35 each. You may purchase up to THREE (3) trees per St. Louis Park address. More details are available, HERE.

We are excited to partner with all these amazing municipalities to offer trees to residents for private property planting at a huge discount. Please remember to call Gopher State One Call (651-454-0002) at least three days before digging. They will mark buried utility lines for your safety.
