Minneapolis Green Zones
MINNEAPOLIS GREEN ZONE FREE TREES PROGRAM
Residents in Minneapolis green zones may qualify for a free tree. This opportunity is made possible through the Minneapolis Health Department, City Trees program. This program is ongoing, you can apply for a tree any time during the year. Trees are planted in the spring and fall.
To qualify, you must:
- Live in a green zone
- Have enough green space for the tree(s)
- Commit to watering your tree every week for the first three years
We will work with you to select the best tree and place to plant it.
