Tree Trust’s Statement
With the conviction in the George Floyd murder case, we recognize this as a beginning, indeed an important step, to ensure the safety, dignity, and value of the lives of all in the Black, Indigenous, and people of color community. We lament and grieve the events that have caused such overwhelming sadness and anger for the communities and people we serve. Tree Trust remains determined to take action by creating economic opportunity for young people, resulting in a better, more equitable future. While there may be no words that can provide healing, we will continue to work with passion and empathy in all that we do. Together, we are working for a more just tomorrow.
