Minneapolis Trees

Leaf Your Legacy

This fall's City Trees program has sold out. Thank you for your interest in the sale. If you would like to be put on a waiting list for a tree, please contact Karly at karlyt@treetrust.org or 651-644-5800.

Things to Consider

  • If you are interested in having United Way volunteers plant your tree, please contact Jessica at jessicas@treetrust.org after placing your order.
  • Do not plant on the boulevard (between sidewalk & street). The Minneapolis Park & Recreation Board is developing a plan for boulevard tree re-plantings in the affected storm area for the spring.
  • It’s the law to call Gopher State One Call (651) 454-0002 at least three days before digging. They will mark buried utility lines for your safety.
  • Save money on energy by planting large shade trees on the west or east side of your home.
  • You will receive a folder containing information about tree planting and care when you pick up your tree.
  • In order to reduce future problems, large shade trees (elm) should be planted at least 30 feet away from nearby power lines, building and/or driveways.
